İyi Bir Hayat

 

Bugün burada olmamızı Burak Altay ve Melisa Gonceer’e borçluyuz. 2012'nin Ocak ayında Lucca’da şans eseri karşılaşıp beraber akşam yemeğiyle başlayan gecemiz sabahın dördünde Nu Pera'da noktalandı. 

 

İkinci buluşmamız iki hafta sonra Melisa’nın doğum günü kutlamaları için yine Lucca'daydı. Görkem kendisinden beklenmeyecek bir performans sergileyerek içki alemini bırakıp taaa karşıdan kalkıp aramıza gece 11:00 sularında katıldı.

 

O geceyi takip eden koca bir ayın sonunda çıkmaya başladık, üç buçuk yıl sonra da evleniyoruz! (Düğün gününü belirleyerek süreci hızlandıran Eray Türker’e ayrıca teşekkürler.)

 

Beraber geçirdiğimiz son üç sene tahmin edemeyeceğimiz kadar güzeldi. Bu güzel hayatın geri kalanını yaşamayı iple çekiyoruz... tabii ki yine sizlerle beraber.

A Good Life

​

We probably wouldn’t be here today were it not for Burak Altay and Melisa Gonceer. By mere coincidence, the four of us found ourselves in Lucca on a cold January night in 2012. What started out as a four-party impromptu dinner ended at four in the morning.

 

Thanks to Melisa’s birthday dinner we met again two weeks later. It was a great sacrifice on Gorkem’s part, who crossed continents, leaving behind his protesting friends on a drinking spree. I was waiting impatiently for him to show up; and when he did at 11:00 pm, we ended up dancing the night away.

 

It took us a whole month following that night to become an official couple and more than three years to finally tie the knot (for which Eray Turker deserves special credit for setting the wedding date).

 

All in all, our life since the winter of 2012 has been unbelievably amazing. And we cannot wait to start living the rest of this good life... all together with you.
